Pipistrellus mimus mimus
This type of bat is the smallest recorded bat in India (so far). The adult specimen weighs 2.0 to 2.5 grams. The colour of the fur is black. During the day time they remain within the crevices in the wooden framework of doors, wooden pillars and girders, under the tiles of roofs of houses and cattle sheds and in the hollows of coconut tree trunks.
